Paris Saint-Germain has signed Netherlands right back Gregory van der wiel from Dutch club Ajax on a four-year deal.
The 24-year-old Van der Wiel played for the Netherlands during the European Championship earlier this year and has made 35 international appearances. He scored 12 league goals in 130 league games for Ajax.
PSG announced the deal on Monday. No financial details were given about the fee but French reports estimated it at €6 million ($7.6 million), taking PSG's recent spending to nearly ?160 million ($202 million).
The French transfer window closes on Tuesday.
PSG, which has not won the French title since 1994, has drawn three and won one of its opening four league games. PSG beat Lille 2-1 on Sunday night to take some pressure of coach Carlo Ancelotti.
