Valladolid staged a second-half turnaround to overcome 10-man Getafe 2-1 and record their first home win since January.

Paco Alcacer gave Luis Garcia's side an undeserved lead moments before half-time but goals by Oscar Ramos and Javi Guerra in quick succession turned the match around, before Alexis Ruano was sent off for Getafe.

The hosts dominated both halves but took their time in making their superiority count.

Deportivo La Coruna took another big step towards survival after making it four wins on the trot with an impressive 4-0 victory at Levante.

The game was as good as over inside the opening half-hour as Depor struck three times through Juan Carlos Valeron, Luis Pizzi and Nelson Oliveira.

Levante pushed but could find no way back after that and Bruno Gama put the icing on Depor's cake with a fourth goal late on as the in-form Galicians claimed their biggest win since 2011.

It is also a victory that provisionally lifts them out of the relegation zone for the first time since November.

A last-gasp goal by Sergio Garcia rescued a point for Espanyol in a thrilling 3-3 home draw with Valencia.

Mubarak Wakaso opened the scoring for the hosts on the stroke of half-time, but Sergio Canales leveled shortly after the re-start.

Joan Verdu then put Espanyol ahead again late on but his effort was cancelled out by Jonas, before Roberto Soldado gave Valencia the lead for the first time in the game, during injury time.

However, there was still time for more drama, and Garcia scored in the 94th minute to snatch the draw.

Malaga's week to forget ended on a high as Julio Baptista gave them something to smile about with an injury-time winner against Osasuna.

Manuel Pellegrini's side were dumped out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage on Tuesday thanks to Borussia Dortmund's injury-time heroics, and the fall-out was unpleasant.

The club's president complained that their exit was based on racism and, added to the death of Pellegrini's father, there has been little to cheer at La Rosaleda.

With the club banned from Europe next season they could have been forgiven for throwing the towel in all together this season, but thanks to Baptista's goal they are now up to fifth.

Substitute Nosa Igiebor struck in the 90th minute as Real Betis came from three goals down to earn a share of the spoils against local rivals Sevilla, who played most of the second half with 10 men.

The hosts, who lost 5-1 in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, must have been fearing the worst when Ivan Rakitic's brace and Alvaro Negredo's goal put the visitors on course for another memorable win just after the half-hour.

But Dorlan Pabon reduced the deficit before half-time and their cause was helped by Ruben Castro netting from the penalty spot in the 54th minute before Gary Medel was given a straight red card almost straight after.

It was not until the 90th minute that they leveled, however, Igiebor heading home to complete a memorable comeback.
