USA's Jamieson suffers head injury during U20 win over Colombia

The United States U20's 1-0 win over Colombia did not come without sacrifice as Bradford Jamieson IV went off in the 11 minute after being upended and falling on his right side Tuesday night.

Jamieson was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning for evaluation of his head for a possible head contusion.

Losing Jamieson could be a massive blow to Tab Ramos and the U20s, as he provides a big target on set pieces as well as a great deal of pace. It would also leave the team without yet another forward as Maki Tall went down with a broken foot in the U20 World Cup opener against Myanmarr.

It could also be troublesome for Jamieson's club team, the LA Galaxy, as the player seemed to be making real progress throughout the tournament.

Despite Jamieson's exit -- and going down to 10 men -- the Americans still pulled off a 1-0 win behind a thunderous shot by Rubio Rubin and a late penalty save by Zack Steffen. The Americans will face Serbia in the quaterfinals of the tournament on Sunday.
