Udinese has sacked coach Pasquale Marino after a disappointing run
of results and hired Gianni De Biasi as replacement.
In a brief statement posted on its Web site, Udinese thanked
Marino for the two and a half years he spent in charge of the club.
Marino had been under pressure after a disappointing first
half of the Serie A campaign. Udinese is 14th in the standings,
five points above the relegation zone.
The club has one game in hand as its match with Cagliari the
past weekend was postponed due to heavy snowfall.
