Udinese coach only wants survival
Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin has surprised the Italian media by claiming his team's target this campaign is to pick up 40 league points.
Guidolin's side beat Novara 3-0 last weekend to remain unbeaten in Serie A and go clear at the top of the standings after seven games.
"We deserve to be in the top position in the table," Guidolin said to Gazzetta dello Sport. "But in our changing room, we have a big sign that says our season's aim and that is to collect 40 points in order to defend our Serie A status.
"After each game we update that sign but we never look at the standings and we certainly don't have a reason yet to get excited."
