Ajax failed to win in the league for only the second time this season, allowing Twente to take over at the summit after a 5-2 demolition of ADO Den Haag. A Luuk De Jong brace and goals for Marc Janko, Douglas and Emir Bajrami ensured the home side a comfortable win that moves them onto 12 points at the summit. ADO's Lex Immers opened the scoring from the penalty spot and John Verhoek added the visitors' second. AZ Alkmaar also profited from Ajax's result at PSV to climb to second place with a 2-1 victory away to RKC Waalwijk. AZ stayed level on points Twente thanks to Ramos Elm's 10th-minute penalty and Charlison Benschop's 65th-minute winner. Geoffrey Castillion levelled for RKC moments before half-time. At the Philips Stadion, Ajax twice came from behind to share the points with PSV. Tim Matavz opened the scoring for PSV in the second minute but Ajax equalised on the stroke of half-time thanks to Kolbeinn Sigthorsson. The home side re-took the lead on 55 minutes when Georgino Wijnaldum scored from the spot but Ajax levelled again with a Dmitriy Bulykin goal on 79 minutes. The draw sees Ajax drop to third, a point behind the leaders, while PSV are fifth. In the day's other game, FC Utrecht and Heracles Almelo drew 2-2. Alexander Gerndt hit the opener for Utrecht but goals from Kwame Quansah (31) and Glynor Plet (37) had Heracles in the ascendancy before Nana Asare's 54th-minute leveller.
