Turkey's Goekhan Toere joins Rubin Kazan
Turkey midfielder Goekhan Toere has joined Russian side Rubin Kazan on a four-year contract from Hamburger SV.
The Bundesliga club says on its website that the 20-year-old Toere underwent a medical for the Russian Cup champions in Munich.
Toere joined Hamburg from Chelsea last year, and his former club will receive half the undisclosed transfer fee. Kicker magazine reports that Rubin paid ?6 million ($7.36 million) for the player.
Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen says ''it's always a shame when you have to let a young player go. But we drove a good deal.''
Hamburg also announced that Nigerian forward Macauley Chrisantus is on the verge of joining Spanish second-division side Las Palmas. The 21-year-old was on his way to Gran Canaria for a medical on Thursday.
