Torres determined to break duck
The Spain international, a record £50million signing from Liverpool back in January, has now gone six games without finding the back of the net for the Blues. Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has continued to defend the striker's dry spell, insisting he is simply taking time to settle in at Stamford Bridge. But Torres says he has now found his feet with the reigning Premier League champions, and is focused on opening his account at home to Manchester City on Sunday. The striker, who is expected to start against City on his 27th birthday, told the Daily Star Sunday: "Break my duck? On Sunday, of course, I just feel it. "It's the perfect time. The game means so much to both clubs. I am ready." The Blues will leapfrog City into third place if they secure a three-point haul at the Bridge on Sunday afternoon. And with Champions League success still in Chelsea's sights, Torres knows he has to start scoring if he wants to help Ancelotti's side to silverware. "It has taken time to adapt but I feel right now," he added. "Right at the right time because I still believe Chelsea can win the title and do well in the Champions League. It's all here."
