Toronto FC, Seattle Sounders vie for first MLS Cup at BMO Field
Toronto FC and the Seattle Sounders are both vying for a first MLS Cup title, and they'll do so in frigid conditions at BMO Field in Ontario Saturday night (8 p.m. ET, FOX).
Led by 2015 MLS MVP Sebastian Giovinco and U.S. national team stars Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley, Toronto has enjoyed unprecedented playoff success in 2016 and reached the final after a dramatic conference final against Canadian foe Montreal.
Seattle, meanwhile, boasts Uruguayan playmaker and MLS Newcomer of the Year Nicolas Lodeiro and rising U.S. national team forward and MLS Rookie of the Year Jordan Morris. The Sounders enjoyed a remarkable turnaround after hitting rock bottom in the summer, with interim-turned-full-time manager Brian Schmetzer guiding the club to its first final. Seattle took down the top two seeds in the Western Conference to reach the title game, where it will look to overcome Toronto's home-field advantage to win it all.
Stay tuned here for highlights of goals and key moments from this title clash.
