Terry tips a tough Toffees tie

Chelsea captain John Terry has warned his side of the danger posed by Everton ahead of their FA Cup clash at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Terry told his club's official website: "Everton are in and out of form but against the big sides, especially at home, they do tend to raise their game so it is going to be a big test for us, but we are certainly up for the fight and we won't give up.

"We have a great mix of players and one thing you can't take away is the winning mentality."

Everton will enter the game in high spirits after they came away with a point from Stamford Bridge in early December, and midfielder Leon Osman is hoping the Toffees can repeat their 2009 FA Cup run which saw them reach the final, where they lost to Chelsea.

He told BBC Sport: "Hopefully we'll have a good run again. Chelsea are one of the top sides in the country, if not Europe, but hopefully we'll get the crowd behind us and have a good cup tie."

Blackburn travel to Aston Villa on Saturday, and Rovers boss Steve Kean is looking to keep his side's momentum going after three consecutive home victories.

"There's a confidence in the squad, there's a momentum and it is really important to keep that going. We are really looking forward to the Aston Villa game," Kean told the Rovers website.

Aston Villa are in confident mood after stringing back-to-back Premier League wins together for the first time this season, and boss Gerard Houllier told the club's websites that the squad is in great shape.

"I know we are physically fitter and stronger, but also mentally stronger," the Frenchman said.

Manchester United make their way to the south coast to face npower League One side Southampton, and the Saints have put new boy Dany N'Guessan straight into their squad for the game, after his loan move from Leicester was completed. Premier League leaders United will be without Brazilian full-back Rafael after he suffered concussion in the comeback victory over Blackpool in midweek.

Championship side Coventry make the short trip to St Andrew's to take on a Birmingham side still buzzing from their Carling Cup semi-final win over West Ham. Blues boss Alex McLeish is pleased with the form Serbian striker Nikola Zigic has shown in recent games.

"It has been a difficult first few months for him in England, but he made the difference against West Ham," McLeish said.

Wigan travel to Bolton and are in much need of some confidence after a just two wins in their last 13 games. Bolton's new signing David Wheater is likely to make his debut for the Trotters.

On Sunday Manchester City travel to Notts County and will be without Emmanuel Adebayor who completed his loan move to Real Madrid this week. Manager Roberto Mancini wished Adebayor all the best after his move.

The Italian boss told City's official website: "This is a big chance for him and I hope he can do well."

City new boy Edin Dzeko will be looking to open his account for the club after failing to score in his first two matches. Arsenal host Huddersfield after they beat Ipswich to reach the Carling Cup final, but boss Arsene Wenger has said the club are no closer to a deal for Southampton youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

"There is no news and I'd be surprised if there will be any," he told BBC Sport.

Tottenham travel to Fulham, and will be without winger Gareth Bale who suffered a back injury at Newcastle last weekend.

Wolves and Stoke go head to head at Molineux, and the Potters could have new signing John Carew in their side after his loan move from Aston Villa.

West Ham play Nottingham Forest at Upton Park, and will be hurting after their Carling Cup loss to Birmingham on Wednesday night.

In the other ties, Swansea play Leyton Orient, Burnley host Burton, Sheffield Wednesday are at home to Hereford, Stevenage - who upset Newcastle in the third round - play Reading, Torquay welcome Crawley and Brighton travel to Watford.
