Taylor: Let Toon entertain you
Having been beset by injuries in 2010, Taylor is now fully fit and relishing the challenge ahead as the Magpies look to build on a solid first season back in the Premier League. Taylor hopes to play regularly throughout the upcoming campaign and take his level of performance to a new high. "It is a massive year for me. It feels like a new start," he explained. "2010 was the most frustrating year of my football life, undoubtedly. But that has been put to bed, it's history and I'm moving on. "This coming season is huge. I need to stay fit and crack on. It's about time." There will be a new look to the Newcastle side this season, with Kevin Nolan having joined West Ham earlier in the summer after Andy Carroll left for Liverpool in January. Players such as Demba Ba, Yohan Cabaye and Sylvain Marveaux have arrived, while Hatem Ben Arfa is also set to play a more prominent role after injury cut short his first season at the club. Ben Arfa's loan deal at St James' Park has since been turned into a permanent arrangement and Taylor believes he is the type of player that can bring entertainment to supporters. Taylor expects the Magpies to play more positively when the season kicks off with a home game against Arsenal on August 13. He enthused: "The players we have brought in are exciting. Ben Arfa will definitely excite the fans. "He has come back looking very sharp and on the ball he looks a class act. "Demba Ba is powerful and will hopefully bring us goals now that Andy Carroll has gone. "There is a lot of pace about us now and we will be able to attack teams away from home. "I think we will see a completely different Newcastle."
