FC Sion says former Switzerland international Sebastian Fournier will be its coach next season, succeeding Vladimir Petkovic .

Fournier tells Swiss media he will be assisted by former Barcelona midfielder Gabri. The Spaniard briefly played for Sion last year after his offseason signing helped trigger legal battles with UEFA and Swiss football authorities.

He is the 26th Sion coach since January 2003 under club president Christian Constantin.

Fournier played 40 matches for Switzerland including at the 1996 European Championship.
