Kenny Pavey came off the substitutes' bench and scored the matchwinner two minutes later as AIK beat crosstown rival Hammarby 2-1 to secure top spot in the Swedish league on Sunday.

The English midfielder pounced on a rebound in the 71st minute to secure the points for the Stockholm club, which is chasing its 11th league title.

Brazilian striker Antonio Flavio had given AIK a 34th minute lead after Bojan Djordjic's corner. Simon Helg equalized for last-place Hammarby on the hour mark.

AIK now has 57 points, one more than IFK Goteborg, which beat BP 3-0 on Friday.

Elfsborg is third on 51 points after drawing 1-1 with Hacken on Sunday, while Gefle edged Trelleborg 2-1.
