Swiss club Young Boys has signed Sweden international Alexander Farnerud from Brondby of Denmark.
Young Boys says on its website that the 26-year-old midfielder signed a contract through to June 2014.
It did not disclose the transfer fee paid to Brondby.
Farnerud will join his new teammates Wednesday at a training camp in Marbella, Spain, during the Swiss league's midseason break.

Farnerud previously played in France for Strasbourg and for Stuttgart when it won the German league title in 2007.
He has played eight times for Sweden.
