Swansea has signed attacking midfielder Jonathan de Guzman on a season-long loan from Spanish club Villarreal.
The Premier League side says De Guzman completed a medical on Tuesday in a deal that contains an option to make the move permanent.
The 24-year-old De Guzman is a former Dutch under-21 international and becomes newly appointed Swansea manager Michael Laudrup's second signing, after Spanish central defender Jose Manuel Flores.
De Guzman, who was born in Canada, says ''once the opportunity came along to join Swansea and Michael Laudrup, it was a done deal. I didn't have to think twice about it.''
