The Uruguay striker, currently in the middle of a seven-match suspension for biting an opponent in a match against PSV Eindhoven in November which rules him out until the beginning of February, has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool. The Amsterdammers go into the match fourth in the table, six points behind leaders PSV but with a game in hand. Their opponents are struggling towards the other end of the standings and today confirmed technical director Leo Beenhakker will leave the club at the end of the season. Feyenoord coach Mario Been was disappointed by Beenhakker's departure. "Leo is easily written off. He has been at Feyenoord under very difficult circumstances over the past two years. He did a good job.," Been said in AD Sportwereld. "With his charisma and his knowledge he has brought peace to the club. I find it very sad that he leaves." Elsewhere on Wednesday, second-placed FC Twente are at home to Heracles Almelo as they bid to close the gap on PSV to one point. The champions will be without South Africa striker Bernard Parker, whom they confirmed has joined Greek side Panserraikos on loan for the rest of the season. AZ Alkmaar, who currently lie fifth, have the chance to boost their hopes of a top-four finish when they play NEC Nijmegen and VVV Venlo welcome FC Utrecht.
