Former Czech international Fratisek Straka will coach the North Queensland Fury in Australian football's A-League.
North Queensland chief executive Archie Fraser confirmed Monday that Straka, 52, had agreed a one-year contract with an option to continue after the 2011 A-League season. He replaces Ian Ferguson, who guided the Fury in its inaugural A-League campaign this year.
Straka represented the Czech national team over seven years, during which he played at the 1990 World Cup. He has guided top-flight Czech club Sparta Prague and has also coached in Germany, Slovakia and Greece.
