Holland goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg has been ruled out of the Euro 2012 qualifiers against Moldova and Sweden.

Stekelenburg has missed the last three fixtures for his club side Roma because of a head injury suffered in a clash with Lucio early on in his side's goalless draw with Inter Milan last month.

He was looked at by Dutch national team doctors in Amsterdam on Monday but returned to Italy to continue his rehabilitation.

Holland boss Bert van Marwijk has not yet called up a replacement.
