Stadium hosting U.S.-Germany game OK, but city flooded

On the morning of the decisive United States vs. Germany match in Recife, Brazil, there are reports of major flooding in the city, making it difficult for patrons to get to the stadium.

Fox Sports 1 reporter Grant Wahl reports there is no flooding at the stadium, which is set to host the game at noon ET, but also likely spoke for many in comparing the conditions inside and outside the facility.

Citing a FIFA spokesperson, CNN reported that the game will go on as scheduled.

Should the game end in a tie, both Germany and the United States will advance out of Group G. A win for either side also assures the victor entrance into the round of 16 but puts the loser in jeopardy of being left out.

Ghana and Portugal also have a chance to make it into the round of 16, but either side must win and hope for a Germany or U.S. defeat to get that opportunity on goal differential.
