Chance Myers and C.J. Sapong each scored two goals and Sporting Kansas City routed the Major Soccer League rival New England Revolution 5-0 in rainy conditions Wednesday night to advance to the third round of the U.S. Open Cup.

Aurelien Collin also scored and Eric Kronberg had his third career shutout in Open Cup competition for Kansas City in front of a crowd of 1,228 fans at the Blue Valley District Activities Complex.
