Sporting eyeing up Pav loan move
Roman Pavlyuchenko's agent claims talks are taking place with Tottenham regarding a loan move to Sporting Lisbon.
Russia international Pavlyuchenko suffered an unsettled season in 2009/10 after failing to command a regular place in Harry Redknapp's plans.
The 28-year-old did force a spot in Tottenham's first team when finding some form towards the end of the campaign but Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe appeared to be the preferred partnership.
Pavlyuchenko was a target of Lokomotiv Moscow earlier in 2010 but, according to his representative, Thomas Zorn, Sporting now want to agree a loan move and are attempting to reach a financial agreement.
"Negotiations exist with Tottenham for the loan of the player but I think that this is complicated by money," Zorn told Portuguese media.
"Pavlyuchenko has a price and the money situation of Sporting makes it very difficult to reach an agreement.
"The contact continues but at this moment the forward is with Spurs. If Tottenham reject the player, it is clear that Sporting would be a good destination."
Lisbon-based newspaper A Bola claims that Tottenham want to negotiate a deal which would include a swap for rising star winger Armindo Bangna Bruma.
