Pat Noonan is now a member of the Seattle Sounders FC.

Noonan's signing was announced on Wednesday. The veteran forward-midfielder was released by Colorado on March 23 and quickly made his way to Seattle for a brief tryout that began on Monday.

Noonan previously played for Seattle coach Sigi Schmid in Columbus during the 2008 season when the Crew won the league title.

Noonan's best seasons came in New England when he helped the Revolution reach three straight MLS Cup's from 2005-07. His best individual season was 2004, when he scored a career high 11 goals.

Schmid says Noonan's versatility in being able to play in a number of different spots will be important for the Sounders. Seattle hosts New York on Saturday.
