Silva: I'm here to enjoy and win titles

David Silva is focused on fighting for more titles after insisting there is no clause in his new contract allowing him to leave for one of the top clubs in Spain.

Silva signed an extension to his current deal at Manchester City earlier this month, committing his future to the Etihad Stadium until 2017.

He is concentrating on the quest for silverware and has assured supporters there is no chance he could leave for Real Madrid or Barcelona.

"I renewed my contract because I am happy here," Silva told Cope radio station. "I hope we will continue to improve and fight for more titles.

"At the moment I am thinking about that, not about the future. I'm only thinking about continuing to play, to enjoy and try to win titles.

"There is no clause in my contract allowing me to leave for Madrid or Barcelona."

Silva believes the clash with Fulham on Saturday at Craven Cottage is crucial to Manchester City's title hopes after a slow start to the season.

"The truth is we didn't play good football, we have to improve, like last year when we started very well," he said in The Sun.

"We have to get back to that level and to find that we have to work hard to do so as soon as possible.

"We haven't started as everyone wanted to but we're still in the fight for the title. The league has just started as has the Champions League."
