Spain winger David Silva has completed his move from Valencia to English club Manchester City.
Silva, part of Spain's World Cup-winning squad, successfully underwent a medical on Wednesday before signing a four-year contract with City, which will play in the Europa League next season.
City paid Valencia 24 million pounds ($36.6 million) for the 24-year-old, according to the Premier League's official website, in a transfer that was announced while he was on World Cup duty.
Silva was a bit-part player for Spain in the tournament in South Africa, but was an integral member of the team that won the 2008 European Championship in Austria/Switzerland.
