The president of Sevilla football club, Jose Maria del Nido, has been taken to a hospital in Seville after an accident at home.

Del Nido, 52, struck his head after losing consciousness and falling over in the bathroom of his home in the Andalusian city, the club's Web site said Saturday. The injury was not serious and he recovered consciousness, it added.

Del Nido is now resting in the hospital and doctors recommended he should not travel to Zaragoza, where Sevilla will play a league game Sunday.

The Sevilla president said he has a small scar "but I feel fine."
