Serbia beat the Faeroe Islands 2-0 on an own goal by Jon Roi Jacobsen and a late header from Nikola Zigic in World Cup qualifying on Saturday.

Serbia took the lead in the 30th minute when Jacobsen, a Faeroe Islands defender, headed into his own net when trying to clear a cross into the box.
