Senegal completed its preparations for the African Cup of Nations by beating Kenya 1-0 on Sunday from Papiss Demba Cisse's second-half goal.

The Freiburg striker scored with a right-footed shot in the 62nd minute after receiving a pass from Souleymane Camara.

Senegal made a sluggish start with Kenya the more impressive team in the first half. It was the second narrow win and disappointing performance from the team, which has been touted as a strong challenger to favorites Ivory Coast and Ghana when the African Cup begins Saturday.

Senegal edged out Sudan 1-0 last week with a goal from Newcastle forward Demba Ba.

The match with Kenya was delayed by about 40 minutes after a dispute between Kenyan players and officials over allowances for the squad.

Senegal's players will attend a farewell ceremony with the country's president on Tuesday before flying to Bata, Equatorial Guinea, on Wednesday.
