SEATTLE -- Kenny Cooper has been waived by the Seattle Sounders after the team was unable to find a trade market for the forward.

Seattle made the roster move with Cooper on Thursday. General manager Garth Lagerway told reporters that Cooper's contract didn't fit in Seattle's framework and there was no trade market available.

According to the MLS players union salary report from October 2014, Cooper made $265,625 in guaranteed compensation
