Marc-Antoine Fortune scored twice as Celtic came from behind to
beat 10-man St. Johnstone 4-1 on Sunday and close the gap on leader
Rangers to seven points.
Celtic took advantage of Scottish Premier League champion
Rangers drawing 1-1 with Hearts on Saturday.
Liam Craig had given St. Johnstone the lead from the penalty
spot in the 12th minute after Glenn Loovens tugged Steven Milne
inside the box.
But the game turned in Celtic's favor after Graham Gartland
was sent off seconds into the second half after fouling Fortune.
The former Nancy striker equalized with an angled drive in
the 64th and grabbed a second from close range, either side of
Georgios Samaras' volleyed goal.
Celtic substitute Paddy McCourt sealed the win with a late
solo goal in the 86th.
In Sunday's other match, Dundee United went third with a 4-1
win at Falkirk.
