Schalke loans Deac to Rapid Bucharest

Schalke has allowed Romanian Ciprian Deac to return to his homeland on loan.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who joined the Gelsenkirchen club from CFR Cluj last summer, made just two Bundesliga appearances in the season just ended and the Royal Blues have confirmed he will now play for Rapid Bucharest next season.

A statement on the club's official website www.schalke04.de read: "Deac has been loaned for one season, until June 30, 2012. The 11-times capped Romania international's contract with Schalke runs until June 30, 2013.

"Up to the end of last season Deac was used only twice in the league and three times in the Champions League.

"The 25-year-old can now earn increased playing time at Rapid Bucharest.''
