Saunders satisfied with point

Doncaster boss Dean Saunders was pleased to come away from Bramall Lane with a point after the 0-0 draw at Sheffield United.

A resilient Rovers outfit were able to keep out their hosts to extend their unbeaten run against the Blades to six matches.

Saunders was happy with his team's ability to earn their second clean sheet of the season, but felt they could have achieved more in the attacking third.

He said: "I suppose it's a good point when you're playing against the biggest club in the league. I'd have taken a point before the game.

"We controlled the game early on and in the second half they just went route one and hit the ball on top of us. I was hoping we could nick the game 1-0.

"We didn't really put our foot on the ball and get it to our wide men and front men but it was a proper scrap and I'm just pleased we kept a clean sheet."
