Santos have reiterated that they have no intention of making an offer for Chelsea's Florent Malouda.

The French international midfielder has been frozen out of the first-team picture at Stamford Bridge under Roberto Di Matteo, and he has been constantly linked with a move to South America - where he was born.

Santos have already denied making a renewed bid for him, after previously showing an interest in the summer but they have again insisted they have no interest in the 32-year-old - following fresh reports in England.

Santos' vice-president Odilio Rodrigues said: "There is no interest for Malouda, he is not in our plans and if the English press is giving details about it, it must be because some agent is telling that to them to increase Malouda's value.

"But there is nothing from Santos."

Santos' interest was stoked by the fact Malouda visited the club some months ago, but Rodrigues says there was nothing to this.

"The circumstances were different, he was in Brazil and visited Santos of his own accord. There is nothing," he said.
