Sanchez major absence from Chile squad
Injured Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez was the major absentee when coach Claudio Borghi named Chile's squad on Thursday for its opening World Cup qualifiers next month against Argentina and Peru.
Borghi's 26-man squad includes forward Humberto Suazo, who has expressed unhappiness after being criticized for his performance in the Copa America earlier this year. It is not clear if he will accept the call up.
Chile plays away to Argentina on Oct. 7 and then at home to Peru on Oct. 11.
