Aras Ozbiliz's goal separated the two sides, the young winger finding the target after 64 minutes with a low strike. A mistake by Jose Fonte - a poor pass from the back - gave Ozbiliz the opportunity to fire Ajax in front. New signing Nathaniel Clyne played the first half for Saints.
