Saha joins Sunderland on 1-year deal
France striker Louis Saha has joined Sunderland on a free transfer following his release by fellow Premier League team Everton.
The 34-year-old Saha has signed a 12-month deal with Sunderland and could make his debut in Saturday's match against Arsenal on the opening weekend of the season.
Sunderland is Saha's sixth English club since leaving French side Metz in 1999. He's also had spells at Newcastle, Fulham, Manchester United and Tottenham, as well as spending the last three-and-a-half years at Everton.
Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill says ''Louis is a striker whose abilities have been proven at the very highest level and brings with him a raft of experience of top-flight football.''
Saha played for France in the 2012 European Championship qualification campaign but didn't make the squad for the finals.
