Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has been ruled out for three weeks with a hamstring injury and will miss France's upcoming World Cup qualifier against Finland.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said on Friday that Sagna picked up ''a little hamstring problem'' in the 2-0 midweek win over Napoli in the Champions League.

The French federation later said that Sagna had been replaced by Rod Fanni in the France squad that faces Australia in a friendly next Friday then hosts Finland at Stade de France four days later.

Didier Deschamps' team looks certain to finish second in Europe Group I behind Spain, and having to qualify through the playoffs next month.
