Rutten ready for Roda test
PSV were impressive in their first outing following the winter break, beating Heerenveen 3-1 in the KNVB Beker on Saturday night. But Rutten is expecting more in Kerkrade when they resume their Eredivisie campaign. PSV will draw level with leaders FC Twente with a win. "We had a short winter break and teams need some time to get into their rhythm," Rutten told his club's official website. "We beat Heerenveen but we lacked sharpness at times. "We are brimming with confidence but we cannot afford to be complacent. I have told the players to take each game as it comes." Rutten knows 13th-placed Roda will present his side with a tricky test. He said: "I think Roda have become more stable recently. "They don't make many changes to their starting line-up, which is an indication they feel confident." Defender Erik Pieters is an injury doubt but is expected to play.
