The 23-year-old has just one season left on his current contract and as it stands could leave the Friesland club for nothing next summer. A statement on his club's official website read: "Contrary to media reports Geert Arend Roorda (23) remains at Heerenveen. "The club has recently been requested by Roorda to enter talks with Standard Liege over a possible transfer of the midfielder, who has a contract until 2012 with Heerenveen. "Standard Liege and Roorda are not ultimately able to reach an agreement."
