Roma President James Pallotta says his club will have its own 60,000-capacity stadium in four years' time.

Roma currently shares the Stadio Olimpico with city rival Lazio, but wants its own stadium to increase revenue.

In an interview with Italian newspaper ilSole24Ore, Pallotta says there is a short list of three possible sites for the new stadium and ''investment in it could even be over ?200 million ($258 million).''

Pallotta bought control of Roma with a group of American investors last year and recently took over the presidency from fellow American Thomas DiBenedetto.

The most likely location for the stadium is Tor di Valle, in the south-west of the city. The other options are Gazometro or Ostiense.

The stadium will be designed by Dan Meis and contain shops and restaurants.
