Roma striker Mattia Destro has agreed to join AC Milan on on a six-month loan deal.
Milan can make Destro's stay permanent at the end of the season by paying a transfer fee agreed with Roma earlier this week.
A statement from AC Milan read: "Mattia Destro has said yes."
The Italy international has started in just eight Serie A games for Roma this season and moves to the San Siro looking for more playing time.
The Rossoneri lost striker Stephan El Shaarawy to a foot injury this week and are looking to reinforce their forward line before the end of the transfer window.
Destro has scored five goals in 16 league appearances for the Giallorossi and is under contract with Roma until June 2017.
"Thank you Roma, I was a little boy and you have made me become big," Destro wrote on his Facebook page. "In Rome I have found love with a capital L.
"Now I'm at Milanello (MIlan's training ground), ready for a new challenge with conviction and determination. "
Destro made his Serie A debut with Genoa in 2010 and joined Roma two years later after a loan spell at Siena.
The 23-year-old could make his first appearance for Milan in Sunday's game against Parma at the San Siro.
Destro joins a MIlan side that is 11th in the standings, out of the scudetto race and 10 points adrift of Napoli, who are third and hold the last Champions League qualifying spot.
