Roma defender Nicolas Burdisso is likely to miss the rest of the season after injuring his left knee in Argentina's 2-1 win over Colombia.
Burdisso collided with an opponent Tuesday and was stretchered off in the 36th minute. He will be sidelined for six to seven months.
Roma is not expected to comment until the club's doctors have examined the 30-year-old Burdisso.
Burdisso has been a regular for Roma since joining from Inter Milan in 2009, and has made nearly 100 appearances for the club.
