The 19-year-old, who will play for England's Under-21s against Uzbekistan on Tuesday night, is keen to get off to a good start with the Toffees in the Premier League. "I'm looking forward to the new season," Rodwell told The FA website "It's flattering to hear those things (about the full squad) but all I can do is concentrate on my job... and that's Everton's first game against Blackburn this weekend. "I always believe in my ability no matter what level I play at. "Hopefully I can get a lot of games for Everton this season and what happens after that is a bonus. "It's inspiring to see... the likes of Joe Hart and James Milner, Kieran Gibbs and Jack Wilshere (in the senior side) - hopefully a few more can do that too."
