Rodgers rubbishes Suarez rumor
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has rubbished the latest reports linking Luis Suarez with Juventus.
The summer change of manager at Anfield has led to renewed speculation about Suarez's future - despite the striker publicly committing himself to Anfield towards the end of last season.
Rodgers is hopeful the Uruguay star will not only stay but sign an extension to his current deal, which still has four years to run.
He told talkSPORT Radio: "I've had a brilliant chat with Luis. He's really looking forward to being here.
"We are obviously hoping we can get him on to another new contract. He's really looking forward to the new season."
Rodgers also revealed his recruitment plans ahead of the new season.
He said: "I'm looking forward to bringing in three or four players that can really affect the group. The reality is there are very few players who can come and make a difference to Liverpool."
