Rodgers: No Swans deal for Sol
A report in a national newspaper had suggested the Swans would move to bring in the 37-year-old former Arsenal and Tottenham centre-half, who is currently a free agent, as Rodgers looks to counter a lack of defensive options due to the unavailability of Alan Tate, Steven Caulker, Darnel Situ and Rafik Halliche. But Rodgers insists there is no truth in the link to Campbell. He joked: "Yeah, I am meeting him at three o clock. No, there is nothing at all (in that)." But Rodgers is hopeful of putting a deal in place for trialist Zoltan Liptak, who has trained with Swansea this week. The 26-year-old Hungary defender is available after leaving Videoton. "We are taking the chance to look at players who could come in and add to our squad," said Rodgers. "He wants to play, is an international player with a bit of experience and he has shown up well at training. "He is a player who has not played a great deal and we hope he can do well. He hasn't played a game since his last international for Hungary in Sweden, but I want to give him every chance to prove he is capable of coming into the squad."
