Mark Robins is hoping to bring fresh faces into his Huddersfield Town squad, but admits he is working to a tight budget.

The start of the new season is now less than a fortnight away and managers across the country and looking to finalise their transfer plans ahead of the big kick-off.

Robins is no different, with speculation continuing to link the Terriers boss with a number of potential new recruits.

He concedes he is in 'on the lookout' for additions and hopes he will get the opportunity to cast an eye over a couple of contract hopefuls before Huddersfield travel to Nottingham Forest on 3rd August.

Robins told the Huddersfield Examiner: "We are still on the lookout for bodies. If we can do something, that would be great because it would be a big help.

"It could be that we take in a trialist or two this week to help with numbers for the amount of games we've got coming up, because we have to get the recovery time and balance hard work with rest."

While looking to bolster his ranks as quickly as possible, Robins is also aware of the need to keep the books balanced at the John Smith's Stadium.

He added: "I would like to be able to do a bit, but we are where we are.

"We have got financial fair play rules coming in this year and we have to be really, really careful and make sure we spend anything we have wisely.

"I would imagine there is a little bit left and we are working very hard behind the scenes. That work will continue, but I wouldn't like to put any numbers on it or speculate in any way at this stage."
