Huddersfield Town boss Mark Robins says that Financial Fair Play rules are being kept in mind when it comes to the Terriers' transfer dealings this summer.
Robins has already bolstered his squad with the free transfers of Jon Stead from Bristol City and Martin Paterson from Burnley, while Wolves winger Adam Hammill has also joined for a nominal fee.
The rules imposed upon the Football League limit the losses that teams are allowed to make each year, with clubs who fail to stick to the guidelines runing the risk of being placed under a transfer embargo or being handed a fine, something which Robins has been wary of.
"Jon's deal represents excellent value for the club in terms of FFP and the fact he's available on a free transfer after coming out of contract at Bristol," Robins told The Huddersfield Daily Examiner.
"Likewise with Adam, we have been patient to make sure the deal is right for the club, and that policy will continue."
Chief executive Nigel Clibbens also says that the club are working on further signings, but that any deals will be kept under wraps.
"We are working very hard behind the scenes on recruitment," he said.
"It would be very easy to shout about potential signings and end up with egg on your face.
"We need to ensure we get the targets we all want. If this takes a while it's no concern."
