Richards ready for cup return
According to his website, Richards says he has made a full recovery from a back problem. The injury saw him miss four games, including the 1-0 defeat by Aston Villa last Saturday. Richards is raring to go and hopeful of returning to action against the League One side. Manager Roberto Mancini, who intends to freshen up his side, will be without Adam Johnson. The winger suffered an ankle injury in training and will not be risked. Former Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko is set to make his debut in the competition and goalkeeper Shay Given and Shaun Wright-Phillips could also return to the team with Mancini indicating the pair will almost certainly stay until the end of the season. Mancini said: "The window closes soon. For us it would be impossible to find another goalkeeper like Shay. He must stay here. "If we lose another player we need to bring in someone different. It is impossible if we have 19-20 players for the next four months." Mancini is adamant he would love to lift the trophy but knows there is much work ahead. He said: "We want to win the FA Cup. We want to go to the final but first we must win this game. "It is a very tricky match and the FA Cup is very tricky. When you play against a team like Notts County you think the game will be easy. "But not me. They won at Sunderland. We will play on a small pitch and we must fight if we want to win."
