Report: Julian Green asks to talk to Hamburg management
HAMBURG, Germany -- United States forward Julian Green may be sent back to Bayern Munich after refusing to play for Hamburg's reserve side.
Hamburg spokesman Tobias Hauke says management will talk to Green on Wednesday, but he says other information reported in the Hamburger Morgenpost newspaper was ''speculation.''
The newspaper says Green had asked for the meeting and that his future at Hamburg was ''very questionable.''
Green is a Bayern Munich player on loan to Hamburg and could be sent back if he again refused to play for the reserves.
Hamburg officials said last week Green was still practicing with the first team but may be asked to play for the reserves occasionally, a standard practice.
Green was not in the Hamburg team that lost 8-0 at Bayern on Saturday.
