In the goalless draw at Wigan on Wednesday the Latics' Ali Al Habsi was named man of the match after a number of saves, including one from Charlie Adam's penalty. The Oman international follows the likes of Manchester United's David de Gea, Norwich's John Ruddy, Swansea's Michel Vorm and even QPR's third-choice goalkeeper Radek Cerny who all were at their very best against the Reds. Of that quartet only the latter finished on the losing side and it has cost Liverpool a handful of points. The only plus point is that while opponents are doing their best to deny the Reds strikeforce the defence in front of Reina is also performing at the top of its game. Liverpool have conceded just 13 goals in 17 matches, the best record in the Premier League. "Once again it is the goalkeepers - Al Habsi was man of the match and he prevented us getting those three points," said Reina. "But we didn't lose the game and we kept a clean sheet which is always positive. "We have to take the positives and that is the team is defending very well and we can take a lot of confidence from that." Liverpool will be looking to improve on their disappointing home record this season when bottom side Blackburn visit on Boxing Day. Kenny Dalglish's side have won just three times in eight Anfield appearances and the win over QPR on December 10 ended a run of four successive draws at the famous stadium. The Scot admits it is not for a want of trying as Liverpool have created numerous chances but have one of the lowest conversion rates in the top flight. "We would love the boys to get the reward some of their outstanding build-up play deserves and we'll continue to make chances, and the opposition know we'll make chances," said Dalglish. "There's been a few inspired goalkeeping performances against us which we can't do anything about, and the first thing we have to do is concentrate on hitting the target. "We would be lots more frustrated if we didn't create those chances, so as long as we get them we will be fine - the goals will come and the goalkeepers won't be as good as they have been. "We now have two home games in a row starting with Blackburn and we need to take maximum points if possible. "We know Blackburn aren't in a nice situation at the moment and because of that it will be difficult with them fighting for their lives and we will have to do our best."
