Redknapp in dark on Taarabt
Harry Redknapp admits he has no idea whether Adel Taarabt will be available to QPR in January and beyond.
The Morocco international is expected to be called up by his country for the Africa Cup of Nations, which starts on 19 January in South Africa.
There has also been speculation as to whether the controversial midfielder will be sold in January, although Redknapp says he is determined to keep him at Loftus Road.
"I've got no idea what the situation is with Adel. We haven't discussed it anymore. I'm just concentrating on the next couple of game," said Redknapp.
"No one has made us an offer for Adel. There's always going to be speculation but we don't want to sell him."
And on his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, Redknapp added: "I hope he doesn't get picked but we can't do anything about it. That's the African Nations Cup for you.
"I think more and more managers will look at this when they're signing African players now."
Redknapp was also coy on his own plans for the transfer window, suggesting January often proves a difficult time to bring in quality players.
He said: "Not too many clubs will let good players go in January. It's never an easy time to do business.
"Whoever we bring in here has got to be the right type to get us out of the situation we find ourselves in.
"I've spoken with the chairman about January and the window, but we'll just wait and see what happens."
